PHONE!
Using credit card, library card, or strong nails pry off the tab as shown in
arrows and set aside. It is held on by sticky tape. Peel it off. You will find the screws underneath. Be
careful as 1-you do NOT want to scratch your phone and 2- you WILL want to
re-attach this tab.
Note: this tab might have your cell phone company's name on it.
Once removed you will find the screws like this:
Remove the screws using T6 screwdriver and set aside. I recommend
working over a towel, bed sheet, light colored surface. Do NOT work anywhere
near deep pile carpet, sink, drain, etc. You lose these screws and you are
out of luck.
Once the screws are removed and placed somewhere SAFE - turn your phone
over. GENTLY pry off your cover beginning at the hinge where you just
removed the screws and then working your way down the phone along the sides.
Use the credit card/library card and work from the sides forward SLOWLY and
GENTLY. You will find small latches inside that give easily. Pay
attention to how it comes off as you will be re-attaching the new faceplate
in the same manner.
Reassemble in reverse of the above. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN YOUR
SCREWS!
